About cars of hope

Reliable transportation is a gateway to employment, education, medical care, and opportunity—yet many households in our region lack it due to limited public transit. Cars of Hope is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Naperville, IL, serving families across Chicagoland. Donate your car in any condition. We partner with local repair shops to restore them when possible, and provide reliable cars to families in need—or, when repair isn’t feasible, sell vehicles to fund our program. If you’ve ever wondered, “How can I donate my car?” or are ready to donate your car, share resources, volunteer your skills, or partner with us—you can help close the transportation gap and drive hope forward.
