About Catchgreen

Catchgreen is a commercial company based in South Africa, focused on manufacturing and supplying biodegradable fishing gear for global markets. Our products are designed for real-world marine conditions and aim to reduce the environmental impact of abandoned, lost or discarded fishing gear (ALDFG), ghost fishing, and ocean plastic pollution. Manufacturing is based in South Africa, supporting local industry and skills development, while pilot projects, partnerships, and sales take place worldwide. Catchgreen works directly with fishers, distributors, and industry partners to bring practical, scalable biodegradable solutions into everyday fishing operations.
