Catherine Houska Consulting LLC is a specialized metallurgical, materials, and chemical engineering consulting firm, which provides selection, specification, failure analysis, fabrication, operations, R&D, asset integration and market development support to our clients. In a changing world, we are also highly focused on sustainable and resilient design and the standards development necessary to support those decisions. The firm was founded by Catherine Houska, who has an international reputation in aesthetic and structural metals selection, specification and failure assessment and atmospheric corrosion research and assessment. She has won multiple and regional national awards for her technical contributions to the field. This work is supported by her significant active involvement in ASTM, APTA, AISC, ASCE, AWS, and other standards and guidelines. She is particularly involved with sustainability, resilience, steel, and structural standards. The firm's scope of work was further expanded when David Knott joined the CHC team. He brought a broad and deep experience with all aspects of the pharmaceutical industry to the firm. Everyone on our technical team was educated at a top globally ranked engineering university and is an innovative, flexible, outside the box thinker with broad product experience, which we consider critical for problem solving.
