About Center for Scientific and Technical Information

The Center for Scientific and Technical Information (CSTI) is a national institution operating under the Agency for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, mandated to support the development of a knowledge-based economy through effective management, dissemination, and integration of scientific and technical information. CSTI serves as a national hub for research information systems, innovation intelligence, and evidence-based policymaking. The Center works closely with government bodies, research institutions, universities, and international partners to strengthen the national science, technology, and innovation (STI) ecosystem. Key areas of activity include the development and coordination of national research information infrastructure, support for open science and research transparency initiatives, management of access to leading international scientific databases, and implementation of foresight and analytical studies to inform long-term innovation and development strategies. The Center actively contributes to capacity building by organizing seminars, trainings, and expert consultations, and by facilitating international cooperation with global organizations, development partners, and foreign research institutions. Through these efforts, CSTI supports the modernization of Uzbekistan’s STI system and promotes its integration into the global research and innovation landscape.
