مصرف ليبيا المركزي مؤسسة مالية مُستقلة ومملوكة بالكامل للدولة الليبية ، ويُمثَّل السلطة النقدية بها وقد حدد قانون إنشاء المصرف المركزي والقوانين اللاحقة له والتي كان آخرها قانون المصارف رقم (1) لسنة 2005 م أهداف المصرف المركزي وهي المحافظة على الاستقرار النقدي والعمل على تحقيق النمو فى الاقتصاد الوطني فى إطار السياسة العامة للدولة . The Central Bank of Libya derives its functions and powers from the Bank law no. 1 2005. The primary mission of the CBL is to achieve and maintain price stability within the context of monetary policy in the interest of balanced and sustainable economic growth in Libya. It also plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial stability.
