About Central Illinois Builders of Associated General Contractors

The Central Illinois Builders (CIB) is a construction contractors association established in 1955 to represent management in matters of labor relations—a core focus that continues today. In 1956, CIB became a local chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), authorized to serve contractors across a 46-county region in central Illinois. AGC now includes 89 chapters nationwide. Beyond labor relations, CIB actively engages in legislative advocacy before the Illinois General Assembly, promotes safety initiatives, supports construction industry education, and fosters collaboration with public agencies and design professionals. The organization also sponsors essential member programs, including construction safety and other key benefits.
