About Central Organization of Trade Unions (Kenya)

COTU (K) represents 47 registered trade unions in Kenya, representing over 4 million workers. Since its inception in 1965, the workers' umbrella organization has worked to establish, develop, and sustain a comprehensive social framework for championing workers' rights and advocating for a humane and productive work environment. This has been accomplished on numerous fronts, including actively contributing to relevant clauses in the Bill of Rights in Kenya’s Constitution 2010.
