A Centre for Public Policy and Governance is devoted to Integrating Research with Advocacy for Policy Action. For realizing the developmental goals in the increasingly challenging post-globalized world, the Centre will try to create informed public opinion, recommend policy, and contribute to the ongoing discourses on good governance. Advocating a Substantivist Model of Democracy, wherein the public can truly become part of the Policy Cycle and the citizen becomes the main stakeholder of all targeted governmental programmes is critical. Therefore, the Centre provides an interdisciplinary platform for blending theory and empirical evidence for enhanced capacity building in governance and equip the lawmakers and policy makers, corporates and the voluntary sector. The knowledge and skill sets required to address the policy implementation and governance challenges of the Millennium along with highlighting innovations and best practices will be central to our mission. We create knowledge-for-impact with a mission to solve complex development challenges with strategic alliances and partnerships. Priority Areas Public Health India, a signatory to the Sustainable Development Goals, is committed “to leave no one behind,” and towards this end, our focus is on Universal Healthcare and equitable access to health care for all. Capacity Building for Youth Our Centre has created the Youth Connect Forum, which takes up themes and issues of national and international importance and runs capacity building programs to equip them in the Amritkaal period. Comparative Policy and Governance Studies Our Centre is dedicated to advancing comparative governance research to promote transparent, accountable, and efficient administrative systems aligned with global best practices. Strengthening Administrative and Institutional Capacity in India The focus is on enhancing institutional frameworks and administrative capabilities to drive effective governance and sustainable development.
