About Charleston Collegiate League

The Charleston Collegiate League (CCL) is a summer collegiate baseball and softball league based in Charleston, South Carolina. The league provides college athletes from programs across the country the opportunity to continue competing, gaining live game reps, and developing during the summer. Founded by former collegiate and professional athletes, the league was created to provide a structured, player-focused summer experience that balances competition, development, and overall player experience. Unlike many traditional summer leagues that require extensive travel, all league games are played locally in Charleston. This allows players to maximize playing opportunities while maintaining consistent training routines and preparing for the upcoming collegiate season. The league features players from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and Junior College programs, along with committed graduating high school seniors preparing for collegiate competition. League Overview • 6-week summer season (June 1 – July 17) • 18–24 game schedule with potential playoffs • All games played in Charleston with limited travel • Smaller roster sizes designed to provide meaningful playing opportunities • Team uniforms and practice apparel provided • Access to high-quality sports performance training facilities • Competitive environment featuring collegiate athletes from across the country Housing is available in downtown Charleston through the league’s partnership with the College of Charleston, with players staying in Warren Place dormitories located just off King Street. Players may also arrange their own housing if preferred. The Charleston Collegiate League provides athletes the opportunity to compete, train, and experience one of the premier summer destinations in the United States while preparing for the upcoming season.
