Testimony of feudal Périgord architecture, built by the English in the 12th century, then remodeled during the Renaissance, the Château de Panisseau today commands a vineyard of more than 40 ha in Thénac. Owned since 2022 by Claire Janoueix, passionate about vines and heritage, and Audouin d'Aboville, a neo-winemaker from the world of IT-engineering, the estate is undertaking major work to be able to preserve and enhance this 900-year-old castle and the viticultural know-how transmitted there.
