About Children of the Mekong

Since 1958, Children of the Mekong provides access to education to deprived children in Southeast Asia. We aim to encourage the children to go as far as possible in their studies, until their professional integration. We operate in six countries in Southeast Asia: Camdodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines. Today, we sponsor more than 24,000 children and support 70,000. We run 190 development projects every year, supported by 1,200 volunteers worldwide. Our charitable expenditure rate is 83.6%. Children of the Mekong's headquarters are in France. It is also a registered charity in the UK and Hong Kong. We partner with Myriad USA for our American supporters.
