About Children's Policy & Funding Initiative

The Initiative is a pooled donor fund that is a fiscally sponsored program of Panorama Global, a 501©(3) public charity. The Initiative aims to ensure that all children around the world live in safe and nurturing surroundings free from violence, where they can exercise their human rights and thrive. Supporting children—from their infancy until they reach adulthood—and their communities requires investments, programming, and policies that apply “a whole child approach.” A whole child approach applies a child-centered lens to address the various factors that increase a child’s risk of harm and improve their safety and opportunities for success. The Initiative has two overarching objectives to achieve its ultimate goals. First, to support the children’s advocacy community to work more collaboratively across sectors so that there is a growing movement educating policymakers about the benefits of prioritizing children and their well-being. Second, to increase understanding, commitment, and action among policymakers so that they demand reforms and ensure the US government does more to protect and improve funding, policies, and programming that prioritize and benefit children globally.
