China Baowu Steel Group Corp., Ltd. is a Chinese state-owned iron and steel conglomerate headquartered in Shanghai and the worlds largest steelmaker, producing approximately 130 million tonnes of crude steel annually. Formed in 2016 through the merger of Baosteel Group and Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation, Baowu manufactures a wide range of high-end steel products used in automobiles, home appliances, petrochemicals, energy, transportation, aerospace, and nuclear power. It reported revenues of approximately $161.6 billion in 2023 and holds assets exceeding RMB 739 billion.
