China Guardian Auction Co., Ltd. was established in May 1993. It is the first comprehensive auction company in China to operate under a modern corporate system, with a primary focus on dealing with Chinese cultural relics and artworks. The company holds large-scale auctions regularly in both the spring and autumn seasons, as well as "Guardian Select" auctions and online auctions. Its headquarters are located in Beijing, and it has offices in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xiamen, China Hong Kong, China Taiwan, Japan, North America, and other countries and regions. In May 2011, China Guardian established a wholly owned subsidiary, China Guardian (Hong Kong) Auction Co., Ltd., and held its inaugural auction in Hong Kong in October 2012.
