The Chinese Shipping Association of London (CSAL) is a professional network bridging China and the UK’s maritime sectors. Registered as a trade association in 2021, CSAL has evolved into a platform for cross-border dialogue, event collaboration, and strategic engagement across shipping, trading, finance, and maritime services. Prior to its registration as a trade association, CSAL operated informally as a Baltic Exchange society from 2016 to 2021. During this period, it brought together Chinese and UK-based professionals across the maritime value chain through regular networking events, cultural gatherings, and collaborative discussions hosted at the Baltic and other London venues. This early chapter laid the foundation for CSAL’s broader cross-border ambitions.
