About Churchill Fellowship

Churchill Fellowships assist New Zealanders to travel overseas, to visit other communities, to learn from others and study topics that will help them to increase their contribution to the community, and advance their trade, industry, profession or business. Fellows return to New Zealand with inspiration, new networks, and knowledge that supports and develops skills within their field of interest. The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust (WCMT) was established in 1965 to honour the memory of Sir Winston Churchill by awarding Churchill Fellowships that provide ordinary New Zealanders with extraordinary opportunities. Churchill believed that world peace and greater international understanding could be promoted through people travelling to other countries and experiencing other cultures.
