About Cicada Innovations

Cicada Innovations is a Sydney-based incubator with a twenty-five-year track record of developing deep tech ventures tackling some of the world’s most pressing problems. Working at the forefront of innovation, our ventures seek to create life-changing technology – applying cutting-edge science such as advanced materials, synthetic biology and AI to challenges like the future of human health, food security and the climate crisis. Once a historic site from the last industrial revolution, our space is now dedicated to developing revolutionary science and technology that will change our world. Our resident companies and their teams have access to specialised labs, a community of mentors and experts, and a cohort of ambitious peers. As they scale, our team provides longterm business and commercialisation support across the full venture lifecycle. Our growing community is for those who want to support and unlock the potential of deep tech. By connecting entrepreneurs, policymakers and researchers, our mission is to make Australia a leader in innovation, while developing the advanced science that will create a more sustainable and prosperous future.
