About Cilium Engineering

Cilium Engineering develops optical systems and software for Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Surveillance & Tracking (SST). We design distributed optical observation infrastructure combining precision sensors, autonomous observatories and proprietary algorithms for tracking objects in Earth orbit. Our approach is based on networks of cost-efficient optical nodes that provide wide-field sky coverage while maintaining high astrometric precision. This architecture enables scalable monitoring of objects in Low Earth Orbit and supports orbital data generation for space traffic awareness. Our infrastructure includes OpticalFence sensors, autonomous observatories and dedicated telescopes operating across multiple continents. Our mission is to deliver high-quality optical orbital data in the most efficient and reliable way. Precision optical engineering for orbital intelligence.
