Citrus Research International (CRI) is the scientific and technical hub of the southern African citrus industry, based in Nelspruit, South Africa. CRI drives research, biosecurity, market access coordination and technology transfer to ensure the long-term global competitiveness of citrus growers. Its work spans the full value chain - from orchard production and pest and disease management to postharvest systems, cold chain optimisation and the Citrus Improvement Scheme (CIS). CRI collaborates closely with growers, exporters, government and international partners to safeguard phytosanitary compliance and strengthen access to global markets.
