About City Carpets, Carpet One

City Carpets is honored to be recognized with the 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards from Marin Magazine and the Marin IJ. Serving homes and businesses throughout Northern California since 1993, we are proud of our local mom-and-pop roots while also being part of Carpet One, North America’s largest cooperative of independently owned flooring stores. This partnership allows us to offer the personalized service of a specialty retailer along with the buying power, selection, and exclusive warranties typically found only in major national brands. City Carpets features the region’s most extensive selection of wool, natural fibers, and high-end nylon, as well as custom and pre-fab area rugs, hardwoods, laminates, luxury vinyl tile and plank, sheet vinyl, and a wide variety of remnants. As a Certified Green Business, we are especially proud to carry sustainable options such as untreated wool, seagrass, jute, cork, linoleum, and bamboo—supporting healthier homes and environmentally conscious choices.
