About City of Sydney Law Society

The City of Sydney Law Society is a regional society of the Law Society of New South Wales, the organisation representing lawyers in New South Wales, Australia. It is an incorporated society under the Incorporated Associations Act of New South Wales. The members of the CSLS are predominantly solicitors practising in the central business district of Sydney. However, barristers, academics and students are also represented amongst our ranks. There are more than 13,000 solicitors practising in the CSLS region. We provide our members with opportunities to meet regularly to discuss issues of importance to them. We undertake mandatory continuing legal education courses, mostly by way of seminars which are free to our members. We hold a number of social functions each year and opportunities for the bench and the bar to meet members.
