The College of Veterinarians of British Columbia regulates the veterinary profession in B.C in the public interest. It sets and enforces standards of qualification, practice, competence, and conduct. The College is created and defined by the Veterinarians Act. It is governed by a council composed of elected veterinarians and appointed members of the public. It discharges its mandate through its staff and committees.
