About Common Threads Indigenous Peoples Organisation

Common Threads began as a powerful three-day summit in Gimuy (Cairns), bringing together over 200 First Nations campaigners, organisers, communicators and changemakers from across the country. Designed by and for First Nations people, the summit created space to connect, yarn, share, learn, strategise, and plan for action. Now, Common Threads has grown into an organisation dedicated to continuing that work — strengthening movements, supporting campaigns, and building lasting power for First Nations communities across the continent.
