About Community Furniture Store

Community Furniture Store is a local charity working across York, Scarborough and Selby to provide good quality, affordable, means-tested furniture to people in need. We collect pre-loved items and sell them at low cost, with an extra 30% discount for those on means-tested benefits. Alongside this, we run projects including IT ReUse, which refurbishes unwanted equipment for people in digital poverty and our Community Bike Scheme, which donates bikes to those without transport. Our Volunteering Programme spans all areas of the organisation, helping local people build confidence, improve wellbeing and gain skills for employment.
