On October 26, 2016, Capital Bank Financial Corp. (Capital Bank) acquired CommunityOne Bancorp (CommunityOne Bank), with the conversion scheduled for completion during the first quarter of 2017. Until that time, the banks will operate under separate names, after which the Capital Bank name will be used exclusively. CommunityOne Bank is a division of Capital Bank Corporation.
