Companhia de Ferro Ligas da Bahia Ferbasa is a Brazil-based company primarily involved in the production and marketing of ferroalloys. In addition, the Company is involved in the chromite mining; manufacture and sale of quicklime and hydrated lime; reforestation and charcoal production, and economic utilization of solid waste generated in the process of ferroalloys production, including the manufacture and marketing of crushed slag. As of December 31, 2011, the Company's subsidiaries included Mineracao Vale do Jacurici SA, Reflora - Reflorestadora e Agricola SA, Industria de Minerios Damacal Ltda and Silicio de Alta Pureza da Bahia SA - Silbasa.
