It protects protect motor carriers if their vehicles cause an injury or death to another person or damage to the property of others. Motor Truck Cargo insurance (Cargo) provides insurance on the freight or commodity hauled by a For-hire motor carrier. It covers your liability for cargo that is lost or damaged due to causes such as fire, collision, or striking of a load. Non-Trucking Liability (NTL) protects owner-operators under permanent lease to a motor carrier while using a truck for a non-business purpose.
