About Control The Meerkat Ltd

At Control The Meerkat, we believe dogs deserve more than training plans — they deserve safety, compassion, and understanding. We specialise in **trauma-informed practice**, helping both pet professionals and dog caregivers recognise and respond to the emotional needs driving behaviour. Using our unique “Meerkat Analogy,” we translate complex neuroscience into practical strategies that reduce stress, build resilience, and improve welfare. Our work also extends to **assistance dog support**, where we help disabled people train and thrive with their dogs, creating partnerships built on trust, regulation, and mutual care. What we offer: * Professional mentoring, courses, and resources for trainers and behaviourists. * Specialist support for assistance dog handlers and candidates. * Thought-leadership, webinars, and education on trauma-informed care.
