About Costa Humboldt

Costa Humboldt works to enhance marine ecosystem health through an integrated approach that bridges the gap between scientific research and local knowledge while addressing the socio-economic needs of coastal communities. We develop and implement cutting-edge conservation strategies designed to protect both biodiversity and cultural heritage, ensuring the long-term resilience of marine environments. Our core expertise lies in promoting marine prosperity through sustainable fisheries management, pioneering ecosystem restoration, and targeted species recovery programs. By creating robust data systems and promoting open science, we empower coastal communities to participate meaningfully in conservation efforts. This approach transforms scientific evidence into practical, community-led applications, fostering a model of governance where ecological health and local well-being are intrinsically linked.
