About County Durham and Sunderland Foodbank

County Durham and Sunderland Foodbanks, a project of Durham Christian Partnership, provide emergency food and support to individuals and families facing crisis. As part of the UK-wide Trussell Trust network, we are committed to tackling hunger and poverty in our communities. Each person we support receives three days’ worth of emergency food alongside practical guidance and signposting to local services. Our aim is not only to meet immediate need but also to empower people to recover, rebuild their lives, and break the cycle of poverty. Together with our partners, volunteers, and supporters, we are building a future where no one in County Durham or Sunderland goes hungry.
