Craic Health is pioneering Comedy-on-Prescription® (CoP) —a world-first intervention making laughter measurable, accessible, and national healthcare services ready. Rooted in community and backed by evidence, CoP reduces loneliness, boosts wellbeing, and creates paid work for comedy industry professionals and businesses. Early UK pilots showed a ~44% improvement in wellbeing, with participants overwhelmingly asking for more sessions. Our model is data-driven, community-powered, and health-aligned—delivering structured, laughter-based programmes in libraries, workplaces, and local venues. This approach strengthens public health while revitalising an underfunded creative sector.
