About Creative Healing for Youth in Pain

CHYP is a one-of-a-kind nonprofit organization that empowers youth to heal by altering the brain’s pain circuits through educational resources, peer connection, and exposure to creative healing experiences. CHYP serves youth between the ages of 13-24 who are experiencing pain, feelings of isolation, and loneliness. Science shows that using the brain in creative ways alters pain signals more than medications. Conditions include recurring stomach aches, frequent headaches, depression, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, post-injury persistent pain, and many more. CHYP uses a fully online platform to reduce common healthcare barriers like cost, geographic location, and long wait times for doctor appointments.
