About CS-SUNN-Nigeria SUN CSA

The Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) is the Nigeria Civil Society Alliance of the Scaling Up Nutrition movement. CS-SUNN is a non-governmental, non-profit alliance of organizations with a shared vision to transform Nigeria into a country where every citizen has food and is nutrition secured. Our mission is to mobilise Non-State Actors to advocate, generate evidence, build capacity and stimulate communities to scale up nutrition in Nigeria. Our strategic foci are premised on Partnership, Advocacy, Capacity Building, Evidence-based intervention and institutionalization of the movement. We are a strong advocate for nutrition and with over 200 registered Civil Society members Organizations across 24 states and more (including the Federal Capital Territory), CS-SUNN has contributed to improving the policy and funding space for nutrition in Nigeria . Through our interventions and advocacy efforts nutrition policies have seen approval by Nigeria's government and and have been domesticated in the states where we work , nutrition funding has witnessed some increase, civil society have continued to hold government accountable to the committments they have made for nutrition . We are currently supporting the Kenyan CSA to improve advocacy efforts for better nutrition outcomes in Kenya . We believe that a well-nourished population is the basis of human progress and societal growth and development. Today, CS-SUNN is still working in partnership with many stakeholders, including policymakers, professional bodies, media and others to achieve national and international goals instrumental in attaining better nutrition outcomes .
