About Culpeper Police Department

Commitment: The Town of Culpeper Police Department is an accredited full-service law enforcement agency composed of sworn, and non-sworn personnel dedicated to providing our community with high quality service in a prompt, polite and courteous, problem-solving, community policing manner. We are a Nationally Accredited Agency: The Culpeper Police Department has been nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. (CALEA) since 2005. We received Advance Accreditation in 2011, 2014, and 2017. In 2021 and 2024 we earned Advance Accreditation with Meritorious Achievement. Our agency is currently in the process of obtaining our next Advance Accreditation.
