About Curatorial Ethics Network

Curatorial Ethics Network (CEN) is an international initiative that brings together expertise in the arts and academia to consider ethical approaches to curatorial practice, challenging concepts and approaches; providing knowledge and a fresh pool of thought to the industry. The Curatorial Ethics Network is dedicated to integrity, accountability, and inclusivity within contemporary art and the global art ecosystem. Our mission is to navigate the ethical complexities of contemporary art practices by promoting dialogue, research, and collaborative frameworks. Founded by Dr Gabrielle Barkess-Kerr, social anthropologist, academic and contemporary art curator in 2025, this network focuses on knowledge and engagement.
