About CWDA - Cheshire West Design Awards

The Awards aim to make Cheshire West and Chester a better place to live, work and visit by encouraging outstanding design and construction of the highest standards. The Awards are made every five years. The process in 2020 was interrupted by Covid so it moved to 2021. The judges want to highlight the following: High quality contemporary design and construction, Traditional materials and craft skills which conserve our heritage, Innovative approaches to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. All nominations (big and small) for new build, public realm, conservation and sustainable developments are welcomed. The winners of these prestigious awards will be announced and publicly recognised at the Award presentation event which will be held at Chester Town Hall on 27 November 2025. The Awards are led and managed by a multi disciplinary Steering Committee which is drawn from across the region. The membership of the Steering Committee consists of a mixture of volunteers with relevant backgrounds and representatives of Cheshire West and Chester Council. Sponsors are well-established, reputable organisations who connect with the built environment in the region and who want to grow their business
