Opened in 1894, Dalen Hotel is a historic fairytale hotel, known for its grand romantic dragon-style architecture with towers, spires, balconies, and intricate wooden details. Over the years, it has welcomed kings, queens, and international guests, offering a glimpse of Norway’s rich cultural and architectural heritage. Combining a visit to the Dalen Hotel with sailing the Telemark Canal with MS Henrik Ibsen and MS Victoria is a unique historical journey back in time with modern comfort and service. The hotel is open from mid-February to mid-December. The ships traffic the Telemark Canal on a daily basis from late May to late September. Please contact the hotel for exact dates.
