About Daughters of the Deep

We are a global movement tackling the socioeconomic barriers that limit women’s access to ocean-based careers, working to close the gender gap in the marine industry. We provide women with education, vocational training, and opportunities to explore diving, study marine sciences, and learn to captain ships, empowering them to consider careers in the marine industry. Our action Areas: Education, vocational training, and resourcing. From the Pacific to the Mediterranean, our mission comes to life through hands-on work in key regions across five continents. Through donations and community support, our organization funds real solutions to gender inequality: educational opportunities, vocational training, and practical problem-solving, such as providing essential materials or covering transportation costs.
