Antisemitism Harms Us All Let’s be clear: The Jewish community and its allies have been fighting antisemitism for two thousand years. Unfortunately, in spite of our efforts, today we must confront the troubling reality that it is on the rise in America and abroad. Rooted in hatred and discrimination, antisemitism not only harms Jews it undermines the principles of equality and justice — eroding the very foundation of our democracy. Activists, philanthropists, organizations, and leaders have worked tirelessly in this space and continue to do so. We have immense respect for them and their work. At the same time, the attacks on our democracy require us to ask ourselves difficult questions—the most important one being: What needs to be done differently? The David Merage Foundation is committed to honesty, research, and hope. And to intentionally forge ahead in a new direction.
