About Demotix

Demotix was a multi-award-winning picture and video newswire, with the news supplied by photographers, reporters and citizens. We were a community of over 30,000 users and 4,750 active photo and video journalists in every corner of the globe, helping cover stories that otherwise aren't being told. We published stories on Demotix.com, where they were seen by hundreds of thousands of viewers each month, and we licensed the best of the images and videos to hundreds of media publishers all over the world.

Founded in 2008 by Jonathan Tepper and Turi Munthe.
