About Department of Economics-University of Crete

The Department of Economics at the University of Crete was established in 1987 and it is considered as one of the best Economics Departments in Greece (according to https://ideas.repec.org/top/top.greece.html#inst). Its goal is to develop the science of Economics and also to train its students in Economics via a modern curriculum. The graduates of the Department acquire the necessary knowledge so as to be employed in dynamic private and public sectors of the economy. Moreover, a good number of them continue their studies in postgraduate level. The Department offers two Master's Programs, one in Economic Theory and Policy and one in Business Economics, and also a Ph.D program in Economics.
