About Design DCA

At Design DCA, we craft distinctive, luxury custom homes that strike a balance between architectural beauty and builder practicality. Based in Houston, TX, we specialize in residential design, custom home plans, and design-build collaborations that bring visions to life. With over 20 years of experience and NCBDC certification, principal designer David Cox combines a refined design eye with a deep understanding of construction realities. Having led design for a major homebuilder, he knows how to deliver trend-forward plans that inspire buyers, streamline construction, and respect budgets. We partner with: Home Builders: Functional, market-ready designs that sell faster and build smarter. Interior Designers: Architectural drawings and plans that set the perfect foundation for your creative vision. Custom Home Clients: Bespoke plans tailored to your lifestyle, whether you’re drawn to English, Transitional, Scandinavian-modern, Prairie, or Spanish-inspired styles. At Desig DCA, our process is collaborative, our designs are build-ready, and our insight ensures every detail—from concept through engineering—is thoughtfully planned. Whether you’re developing a spec home, designing your dream home, or seeking a design partner for your interiors, we deliver timeless architecture with Houston living in mind. Serving Greater Houston, including Bellaire, Katy, The Woodlands, and beyond, we’re here to help you craft a home that’s as functional as it is beautiful. Let’s design something extraordinary, together.
