About Design Workshops

At Design Workshops, we are passionate about custom woodworking and high-quality craftsmanship. We work hard and take pride in what we do, bringing our partners’ challenging vision to life. If you can dream it - we can make it. Design Workshops is a comprehensive woodworking shop located in Oakland, California. We specialize in high-end workplace and commercial interior projects, for which we create superior architectural millwork, cabinetry, and unique custom assemblies. Our shop is compliant for LEED and FSC projects and is a signatory to the Cabinet Makers, Painters, and Carpenters unions. Design Workshops offers millwork budgeting, design development, engineering, project management, related trade coordination and inclusion of millwork integrated scope (metal, stone, glass, acrylic, upholstery, etc...). In addition, we have in-house detailed drafting, programming, wood veneering, milling, CNC machining, finishing, jobsite delivery, management and installation.
