About Designs By Clare Stokolosa LLC

My paintings consists of people and places - from New York City’s subways to Europe’s town squares. I paint a mix of images in a welcoming palette of colors. Landscapes, bridges and fields of flowers and paths painted outdoors suggest openness. For NYC Faces, a series of larger-than-life sized linear drawings of people in transit, I enlarge sketches, finishing them in watercolor. I expand the technique to Italy’s piazzas and other New York City scenes. Patrons often share that they enjoy the scenes and people in my artwork because of the joyful connection that is invoked through the imagery.
