About Det filippinske hjelpesamfunn i Norge - FHS

Det filippinske hjelpesamfunn i Norge or The Filipino Helping Society in Norway was founded on November 12, 2013 under the original name Hånd i hånd i å løfte Filippinene or Kapit-kamay ibangon ang Pilipinas in response to Typhoon Yolanda (International name Haiyan) which struck the Philippines. This year we relaunch the Organization under its new name, FHS in response to another cyclone Typhoon Ulysses (International name Vamco) and will continue its service to include other activities. FHS will perform integration work and voluntary work for example free language training, career guidance, health counseling, information exchange, mentoring program, relief action during crisis or disasters. The work is primarily aimed at Filipinos who live in Norway, but may also apply to other minority groups. It will be carried out mainly by Professional volunteers of Filipino origin.
