About Deutsches Technikmuseum

With the German Museum of Technology and the Science Center Spectrum, we operate one of the world’s leading institutions dedicated to the history of technology—located in the heart of Berlin. Each year, more than 700,000 visitors experience the fascination of technological history and the joy of experimentation. Guided by the motto “Simply for You”, we bring technology to life. Across 28,500 square meters of exhibition space, we present aviation, shipping, railways, automobiles, film technology, computer and network worlds, sugar, chemistry, pharmacy, and much more. The “Candy Bomber” on our façade has long been recognized as an international landmark. We approach the history of technology in close connection with people and their everyday lives. In addition to our wide-ranging exhibitions, the museum park provides a unique urban space for encounters and discovery. Through our programs, we invite people to view technology from new perspectives, to reflect critically, and to shape the future through dialogue. In doing so, we contribute to an informed engagement with the central questions of our time—scientifically grounded, clearly communicated, and accessible to all generations.
