About dhk Architects

dhk is an award-winning full-service, design-led architectural studio with multidisciplinary expertise in architecture, urban design and interior design, supported by the production of excellent technical documentation and on-site administration. With a steadfast commitment to design quality, our team of more than 100 people, working across all disciplines, has built dhk into one of the largest and leading architectural firms in Africa. We believe in a holistic, integrated design approach, delivered with energy and integrity, that brings a human element to whatever we create. The projects we work on are benchmarks for design excellence that incorporate international influences and technical advancements, balanced with economic realities to ensure fully grounded designs. A fundamental principle of our design approach is to integrate a building within its greater urban context, connecting the experiential qualities of inside and outside spaces. The urban design, architecture and interior design teams constantly communicate across their respective disciplines, sharing experience, skills and expertise to infuse harmony and integration throughout each design project. Our vast portfolio of work delivered in South Africa, Africa and internationally is recognised locally and internationally for its consistently high standards. Our work spans multiple sectors including commercial, residential, hospitality and leisure, retail, healthcare and education.
