The focus of our work is the communication and information transfer between chronically ill patients and health care professionals with the aim that they meet "as equals". For us, this includes well-founded and independent education and information from the medical fields of nephrology, transplantation and diabetology. In addition, we fulfil our self-imposed duty to provide information also from interdisciplinary areas as well as to take into account the affected life, social and legal aspects of the chronically ill, their relatives, medical and nursing staff, self-help organisations, professional societies and many other groups of people who feel directly or indirectly addressed by the three areas mentioned. We also dedicate our education and information work to organ donation, because: Without organ donation there can be no transplantation.
