About Doane Academy

Since its founding in 1837, students at Doane Academy have come here to realize their interests, develop their talents, and prepare to have a significant impact on their world. A pre-kindergarten through 12th grade independent day school, we honor our traditions as we nurture and challenge a diverse group of students. At the same time, we are also a school that is innovative, forward-thinking, and rigorous. Doane Academy is committed to developing intelligent, capable young people within a school culture where students are known, loved, and strongly encouraged to realize their full potential.
