About Doctors in Italy Fellowship Program

The Doctors in Italy Fellowship Program was created to introduce students to the practice of healthcare in an international environment, as early as possible in their academic career. In a world that is increasingly borderless, the next generation of young leaders in healthcare will need to build cooperation and trust across different cultures and backgrounds. The Doctors in Italy Fellowship Program enables undergraduate and graduate students to shadow healthcare professionals, in top-ranked government and private healthcare facilities across Italy. Doctors in Italy was born as a local medical practice in Rome, providing accessible healthcare services for travelers, expatriates, and digital nomads. Our clinic became a trusted base for the international community needing medical assistance while navigating healthcare in a foreign country. Through a patient-centered approach, we focused on simplifying the healthcare experience by offering in-person medical care, fast consultations, and support for language and insurance challenges that many foreigners face. By the time we transitioned to digital, Doctors in Italy had already served thousands of travelers with a reputation for quality and inclusivity. We're multi-cultural by design, and we feel extremely lucky for having the chance to interact on a daily basis with people from all over the world.
